Position: Cloud Engineer
GCP - Kuwait, Fully Remote
Language Preference: English
Duration: 6 months to 12 months (Highly likely to be renewed)

Skills Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a significant focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with extensive experience using Terraform for GCP.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with core GCP services (Compute Engine, Networking/VPC, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, GKE, IAM, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub).
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices in cloud environments (SecOps), including network security, identity and access management, data protection, and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud Engineer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
- Experience with other IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms like Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver), Splunk, Datadog.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of incident response procedures in cloud environments.
