Position: Engineering Manager

As our Head of Engineering, you will lead from the front and create a culture of quality, excellence, and growth. You will be responsible for contributing, shaping, and growing our engineering team. You'll work closely with the Product Owner to understand user needs and deliver high-quality products at a rapid startup pace. You will set engineering milestones and plans while balancing priorities.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience; 3 years minimum as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager
  • Developer with Product Engineer experience working closely with Product Manager to deliver products focused on customer value.
  • Familiar with tech stack: React and React Native, Typescript, AWS, Heroku, and Ruby/RoR
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup settings, experience managing high-performance teams
  • Have developed enterprise-level applications with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and security
  • Ability to contribute: 70% coding as IC + code reviews, 30% planning / hiring / other managerial responsibilities
  • Experience setting up and executing DevOps framework and providing value for customers on a SaaS platform.
  • Proficient in working in JIRA Kanban/Agile sprints and Github code releasing
  • Proven Lean development experience to deliver customer-value with minimum effort.

Responsibilities 
  • Oversee and provide immediate support for the engineering team with their projects
  • Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements
  • Instill engineering values of building for the customer and driving customer value
  • Manage software development projects by setting requirements, goals, and timelines
  • Design strategies for future development projects based on the company's overall objectives and resources
  • Hire engineers and coordinate their training
  • Implement innovative technologies
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and tools
  • Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment
  • Prioritize technical requirements, especially new customer integrations
