Position: YouTube Producer for @SiliconValleyGirl freelance/contractor
Silicon Valley Girl is a global podcast and YouTube channel hosted by Marina Mogilko, where she interviews top entrepreneurs, investors, and startup founders behind major companies in the U.S. and beyond. Past guests include Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn), Garry Tan (CEO of Y Combinator), Tim Draper (venture capitalist), Coco Rocha (supermodel & founder), and more.
The channel covers topics such as business, investing, technology, AI (artificial intelligence), and personal growth.
What you’ll do:
- Write scripts and structure episodes (interviews, talking heads, solo podcasts)
- Write branded content scripts based on client briefs — aligned with the tone and style of the channel
- Analyze content performance — which guests, topics, and formats perform best
- Pitch topics and guests for new episodes based on trends and analytics
- Research guests and develop interview questions tailored to the topic and narrative angle
- Track potential guests in international markets (primarily U.S.)
- When pitching a guest — include the episode concept, narrative hook, and thumbnail idea
- Craft compelling titles, descriptions, and thumbnail concepts
- Collaborate with the designer and editor — assign tasks, manage feedback, oversee delivery
- Manage the entire post-production process from script to final publish
- Keep episode tracking organized in Notion and Google Drive
- Use and experiment with AI tools (text, video, visual) to speed up workflow
- Launch and monitor YouTube ad campaigns
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a YouTube producer (please include links to channels you’ve worked with below)
- Strong ownership mindset — you plan, deliver, and move things forward without hand-holding
- Confident with AI tools for scripting, visuals, and video — and curious to explore what’s next
- Fast-paced, self-organized, and reliable with deadlines
- Strong sense of storytelling, attention to detail, and content taste
- English level: B2 or higher (all content work is in English)
